As far as years of experience, it is open I think the key here is for them to have some understanding of what an actuator is and interest to learn and grow on this system.

The engineer would be responsible for supporting FACS Actuator, Actuator Control Unit, and Control Valve procurements from Collins Aerospace in Vergennes, VT. The position requires travel to Vermont for on-site support up to 25%. The engineer must be capable of troubleshooting test sets, have the technical expertise to understand the control electronics and test set electronics, and have good communication skills to relay information & direction between the GQM-163A Program and Collins Aerospace. An understanding of test scripts using Python is also desired, but not necessarily mandatory.

They would be the expert subject matter on actuator system. They would be involved with any component testing, validation and qualifying new systems for flight. If there are any issues with systems as they are being tested, they should be able to troubleshoot and understand what the issues are.

Key Skills: Good communication skills (written & verbal), circuit analysis, circuit simulation, troubleshooting, root cause investigation.
