Role Summary

You'll be developing the electronics for our automation modules, module tools, sub modules, and other electronics required to fully automate biology. You will be interfacing with motors, encoders, sensors, and MCUs, and you will be implementing reliable communication between them as well as writing the control firmware. You will be designing analog and digital circuits to create reliable and cost effective designs. Looking for someone who can wear multiple hats, and work on a small and interdisciplinary team.

You will be responsible for

• Designing, building and testing custom PCBs for our automation modules
• Debugging on-board and inter-board communications such as I2C, SPI, CAN, USB
• Writing firmware for AVR, ARM, and other architectures
• Implementing motor control and sensor control hardware and firmware

Qualifications

• Schematic capture
• PCB layout
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems

The ideal candidate will have the following skills (nice to have, but not required)

• Analog signal processing
• Proficiency in controls
• Power electronics design
• A strong desire to create high-quality devices
