Job Description:
Our client is in search of a hands-on Electrical Engineer for their manufacturing company. The successful individual will lead the procurement and installation of new equipment within their facility, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness. Compensation & Hours:
The salary is expected to be around $100K/yr.
This is a fulltime and permanent position
Position Summary:
Continuously looking for ways to improve processes or equipment by exploring and implementing new technologies (or retrofitting) for automated machinery
Developing the budget, schedule, and scope to ensure milestones and targets will be met
Coordinating work with contractors, consultants, and technicians
Commitment to quality and safety; leading by example and implementing policies
Overseeing the installation of equipment
Ensuring the best and safest solutions/designs are being engineered
Applying for capital projects
Signing off on designs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years of previous experience in a management/leadership role
Must have a manufacturing background
Strong understanding of e-standards and codes
Capable of bringing initiatives together using well-developed interpersonal skills
Keen ability to define a strategy and execute it
Technologically savvy; proficient in MS Suite
Bonus Points For:
Alberta Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) Designation or in progress
Background in the oil and gas sector
Exposure to a food production environment
Familiarity with AutoCAD or SolidWorks
