Your Opportunity


Glumac is seeking an Electrical Designer or Engineer located in Los Angeles with hybrid home/office flexibility. This position will be responsible for creating and problem-solving exciting and complex design processes of electrical building systems and preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings that incorporate some of the latest design techniques while ensuring that all specifications are met. This is a very exciting time for the team as they continue to expand in the California region.

  • Has knowledge of Building and Electrical Codes.
  • Reside in Los Angeles or surrounding areas.



Your Impact

This role will:


  • Design and plan electrical power systems for all types of projects including but not limited to: buildings and facilities, including hospitals, light rail, laboratories, high-rise offices, educational facilities, and other commercial and institutional projects.
  • Design and specification of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing, and selection, performing calculations of lighting systems and associated controls for assigned projects.
  • Provide leadership in prioritizing engineering project team labor to meet multiple moving deadlines and track project budgets.
  • Work with others, interface with code officials and contractors, working with architects and other clients.
  • Review MEP systems designed by others, interface with code officials and contractors, and work with architect and other clients.
  • Face-to-face and other technical communication with clients on MEP topics.


What You Bring - Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 2 to 7+ years experience as an Electrical Designer designing MEP projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong drafting skills using REVIT and Autocad.
  • Software skills: MS Office, Word, and Excel required.
  • Some knowledge on California Energy Code Title 24 and Electric Code ( NEC, CEC, etc)


Preferred:

  • Ability to use SKM lightning software is a plus.
  • Current Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships.
  • Prior healthcare facilities design experience is highly desired.
  • Sustainable design experience is desired.
  • LEED AP BD+C and WELL are highly desired.
