Location INTEL, or Tempe office or remote but would need to do some field walks once in a while at INTEL!

Pay 30-40hr

Bill rate 65hr for less than 10 year person 75 for expert

English is a must, bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

3+ years of field electrical install experience (conduit, panels, racks, hangers, etc.)

Must be able to detail out legible routes by hand to pass off to BIM staff. Will be working with superintendents and construction mangers for routing.

Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Navisworks a must.

No Revit experience needed, but is a plus.

This position is mainly detailing out conduit routes, taking measurements, knowing what can and can't be done in the field with conduit routing, detailing all of that out legibly and working hand in hand with BIM staff to create a 3D install model.

Journeyman type who is looking to get out of day to day install would be great.

As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for:

Design portions of a project related to electrical systems according to code and IMEG standards;

Research resources for commercially available equipment;

Provide good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files;

Coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers;

Documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress;

Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check;

Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Lead Engineer;

Conduct periodic job site observations.

Qualified candidates should possess the following skills, education, and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related degree;

Minimum 3 years previous design experience;

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings;

Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics;

Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM;

Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
