Electrical Design Lead Engineer with EV & Utility experience

Maverick is seeking an Electrical Design Lead Engineer with Electric Vehicle (EV) and utility experience. This engineer will be a part of the growing engineering team headquartered in Boston, MA with offices across the country. This role requires that you be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and be team oriented.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical design for EV projects
• Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in EV Projects that include detailed design
• Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
• Support business development related to enhanced Electrical Vehicle services
• Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers

Additional Project Opportunities:

• Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues
• Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
• Review of supplier submittals
• Act as a liaison between the local design team, client, and remote design teams
• Startup and testing of major electrical equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program
• Professional Engineer's license in MA, CT or another US jurisdiction
• 5+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services
• Electrical Vehicle knowledge a plus.
• Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment.
• Understanding of Utility standards, NECA codes and fiber optic cabling
• Experience in a client-facing/business development role

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
