VEOLIA Water Technologies & Solutions (WTS) is a worldwide leader in water recovery, treatment, and reuse. We design and supply a range of water systems, from food and beverage applications, to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Our portfolio of technologies includes solids-contact clarification, membrane & media filtration, ion exchange, electrolysis, digestion, evaporation, ozone/UV disinfection and more.
The EHS Site Lead will provide direction and assistance to work group to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning and mid-term planning on annual goals and objectives. This position is based in Guelph Manufacturing Plant with travel to Ancaster Plant as needed. Position will be based at the Guelph Facility

Key Responsibilities
- Be the "Site Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Focal Point" and/or site management on various EHS issues Initiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into the business
- Record keeping and data management
- Inspect workplace activities, identify hazards and work with employees and management to determine corrective actions
- Actively participate on EHS and related committees
- Manage EHS related projects Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and procedures
- Assist in implementation of EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance
- Develop and maintain general knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
- Assist consultants and contractors on related EHS issues
- Administer compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems
- Assist in conducting EHS education programs
- Assist in issue resolution
Core Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college at least 4 years of experience with EHS systems)
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside GE (regulatory agencies)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Established program management ability
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of environmental and safety regulations
- Computer skills, and presentation/training skills
