ATI Millersburg is seeking a full-time Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Instrumentation Specialist to join our Health and Safety team. This is a day shift position and typically work Monday - Friday. You'll report directly to the Sr. EHS Leader. In this role you'll lead the effort to support and manage gas monitoring systems, confined space systems, and environmental emissions monitoring systems that support environmental, health, and safety standards. In order to become successful and provide immediate impact, you will have to quickly learn ATI's processes, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including a unionized workforce, Maintenance and Operations. Attention to detail, being customer service focused, ability to prioritize your work in an organized manner, and exceptional interpersonal skills are included in the skillset of a successful EHS Instrumentation Specialist. Primary Responsibilities Collaborate within a team environment to manage gas monitoring systems, confined space systems, and environmental emissions monitoring systems that support Environmental, Health, and Safety standards. Lead new or replacement system installation projects. Respond to requests for changes to monitoring systems. Support and be an example of ATI's core value of a culture of health and safety. Coordinate confined space monitoring, equipment, and processes. Calibrate area gas monitoring and leak detection systems. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace existing electrical equipment that supports gas monitoring equipment. Calibrate devices and manage calibration database. As a subject matter expert on gas detection instruments, you'll solve problems and explain complex information to others. Collaborate with others in selecting and purchasing devices and equipment. Maintain supplies and inventory. Develop and audit documented standards for the operation, maintenance, and calibration of these systems. Continually improve processes and equipment configurations. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. State of Oregon LME or LEB electrical license. Requirements This position will require you to drive company vehicles on campus and public roads, so a valid state-issued driver's license is required. Preferences, Skills & Abilities Instrumentation technical experience preferred. Able to work in an industrial environment, in hot and cold temperatures and where PPE must be worn such as hard hat, boots, glasses, respirator, etc. Must be able to climb stairs, walk, and lift and carry equipment.
