LinkedIn is looking for a Distinguished Engineer with expertise in Platforms and infrastructure to provide thought leadership for Product Platform organization. The Product Platforms team is responsible for building out LinkedIn-specific capabilities that help power our Business , Enterprise and Consumer products. Their mission is to enable agility and scale in our business and product development and to unlock additional capabilities that add value to our member and customer experience. Our roadmap is bursting with great ideas and we are looking forward to having this distinguished Engineer help in solving intriguing technical challenges & building products and platforms with best members and customer (Internal and external) experience.
As a Distinguished Engineer at LinkedIn, you will lead technology vision and development for Product Platforms org. You will have the opportunity to architect and lead the next generation of enterprise and customer platforms and the underlying infrastructure that powers LI's Business. - Develop a strong understanding of LI Platforms and its trends and provide domain expertise to the team.

- Help build highly scalable systems and applications to enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant field or related discipline (machine learning, statistics, computer science etc.), or equivalent research experience
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience leading complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders
- 10+ years experience in building robust Platforms with at least 5 of those years in a technical or scientific leadership position
- Experience in designing and implementing platforms at scale to solve complex business problems
- Experience in leading large scale development projects from concept to multiple releases in production
- Experience of technical leadership guiding and mentoring top engineering and operations talent
- Experience leading high-impact, cross-company initiatives
