Job Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

At Martin Environmental Services, customer service is what we do. As a Dispatcher/ Customer service representative, you will communicate with our drivers, respond to incoming service orders, schedule service, resolve route and service issues and complete daily routing dump and data entry. Distribute information to driver teams as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Effectively dispatch work orders to drivers; dispatching drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers' locations and loads, and daily factors to balance cost and speed of response.

Assign routes and service tickets to appropriate drivers throughout the day and for the next day; and closes service tickets each day.

Plan, distribute, monitor and follow-up daily route assignments for residential, roll-off and commercial drivers to ensure customers are serviced per Martin Environmental standards and agreements.

Work directly with Office Manager, Operations Manager and the Drivers to ensure prompt follow through of all issues.

Report driver problems to appropriate department or supervisor for resolution

Communicates with maintenance shop personnel and serves as an emergency point of contact to drivers

Uses Martin Environmental proprietary software to enter ticket information and track activity.

Review route paperwork, enter customer information to database, and close work orders from previous day routes.

Records and documents information from drivers and distributes to appropriate departments.

Print, review and make data entry corrections to productivity reports daily.

Maintain positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with co-workers and management.

Other duties as assigned.

BASIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of 6 months of related work experience required.

Experience within the Waste industry, transportation, or logistics is preferred.

Previous customer service experience in office environment preferred.

Multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment with excellent organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.

Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Computer proficiency- MS Office and Typing Skills

Must be able to read map

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
