SRE's at Indeed partner with our product development teams, working closely with them to design, code, test, run, and evolve the systems that help people around the world get jobs. We work closely with dozens of Indeed teams to drive adoption of modern reliability practices like SLOs, sustainable on-call, learning from incidents, chaos testing, and end-to-end ownership.
As Head of Job Seeker SRE, you'll lead SRE teams in India, Japan and US for Indeed's Job Seeker organization, which is one of Indeed's seven core business groups. This group's mission is to build engineering systems to understand all workers, understand all jobs, deliver the best jobs to job seekers, and help job seekers get closer to being hired. You'll work closely with Job Seeker leadership to ensure the products meet their standards for reliability and performance. You'll also collaborate with SRE leaders in other parts of the business to share knowledge, align engineering efforts, and evolve Indeed's SRE culture.
SREs are crucial contributors to nearly every Indeed product team that has big traffic, big data, or high availability and performance requirements. Foster an environment of continuous learning that builds engineering skill sets
Grow the your org by hiring engineers and developing leadership
Lead multiple teams to design, develop, write, and ship software and systems to increase reliability and operational excellence
Work closely with other leaders across teams and the world to improve alignment, communication, and collaboration between SRE and other functions
Help engineers and managers develop their careers through personalized coaching and performance management
Occasionally travel to work with team members in other part of the world
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience leading site reliability or software engineering teams with a record of high-quality, iterative delivery for large, cross-functional projects
Ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve important goals together
Desire to improve reliability, performance, scalability, and operations using software engineering techniques at scale
Strong ability to coach software and systems engineers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
