Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Director Programs 1 - COAST II Program Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
As the Director you will direct all phases of the COAST II program to provide factory Operations & Maintenance in support of remote Operations facilities. You will have strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and team building skills.

As the Director you will direct all phases of the COAST II program to provide factory Operations & Maintenance in support of remote Operations facilities. You will have strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and team building skills.
Principal duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading a large team performing Software and Hardware maintenance, System Engineering, Configuration Management, Security Compliance, Operations Anomaly support and analysis
- Acting as the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Managing and leading others in a challenging environment, balancing resource availability and priorities is a must
- Participating in the negotiation of contract and contract changes; Coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract; Managing complex CLIN structures
- Providing leadership in developing end-to-end solutions to address O&M issues and upgrades ensuring maximum system availability
- Promoting teamwork across the NG sectors and subcontractor elements to provide superior products and services
- Managing two subcontracts and NGMS Inter-Sector Work-Order (IWO)
- Integrating effectively with the Development organizations
- Ensure appropriate and effective relationships within COAST II program team and with customer, and external organizations
- Collaborate with the on-going development team, other SO&M contract teams and customer to implement innovative changes to improve mission operations
- Provide leadership to drive to increased efficiency and reduced costs while maintaining operational availability
- Ensure readiness to integrate new system assets
- Sustain an effective, working relationship with multiple subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with customer and company standards and policies
- Support strategic planning activities

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- Minimum 10 years related program experience in the following areas: operations and maintenance, system engineering, hardware development and test or software development and test
- 2 years of relevant program/project/IPT-level management experience
- Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government SCI access
- 10 years of experience on Mission 1 programs with detailed knowledge/understanding of Mission 1 systems
- Familiarity with risk management and certification of information systems
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or closely related engineering or science discipline
