What you will do:

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) advance the work and social skills of people with intellectual disabilities. You will supervise the daily operations of persons with disabilities in achieving their goals in a work environment. Driving is an essential function of this role.


We are willing to train persons with a passion for helping others-this is an entry-level job. No degree or prior experience is required. In this role, you will,

  • Train and assist persons served to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure quality and production levels are met while maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Track and record person served's work production.
  • Provide support services to eight or more persons based on staffing.
  • Implement goals based on the individual's learning abilities to carry out the training objectives.
  • Regularly communicate with team members.
  • Supervise persons served during work and break times.
  • Provide transportation services as needed. Rise's vehicle may be provided.
Requirements:

What you will need:

  • Willingness to learn and a passion for working with persons with disabilities
  • Ability to perform basic math in a work setting
  • Comfortable using technology, the internet, and Microsoft Suites.
  • Flexible and work collaboratively with a team
  • Self-Starter and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Good customer service and ability to deescalate difficult situations
  • Comply with and pass Department of Human Services (DHS) background check (Rule 11), which may include fingerprinting
  • Have a valid driver license
  • Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds daily
  • Willingness to adhere to Rise's COVID 19 policy requirements

  • Hiring Bonus: $1,000 ($500 after 3 month anniversary and $500 after 6 month work anniversary)
  • Wage: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour, depending on qualifications
