Diesel Truck Mechanic

Up to 31.96 an hour, based on experience

  Duties:
  - Bumper to bumper repairs and Maintenance on Trucks and Trailers
  - Perform Annual Vehicle Inspections in compliance with D.O.T regulations
  - TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIRS OF THE FOLLOWING:
  - Low Voltage Electrical systems
  - Steering Systems
  - Pneumatic-air brake systems
  - Hydraulics- cylinders, PTO s , valves, pumps, Engines-basic troubleshooting
  - Transmissions-basic troubleshooting, clutches
  - Drivetrain Components-Brakes, differentials, drivelines, wheel ends
  - Keep accurate written/computer generated work orders.
  - Perform some building and yard maintenance when needed
  - Maintaining a clean work environment
  - Some welding and fabrication
    Requirements:
    - 3 Years experience Preferred but Not Required
    - Vocational Training and or Technical Certificate would be a plus
    - Strong mechanical aptitude
    - Team player, ability to get along with others
    - Knowledge and skills to maintain all company vehicles in compliance with state and federal D.O.T regulations
