Description: Diesel Technician - Reese, Michigan

1st, 2nd & 3rd shift available
The Diesel Mechanic will be working on a variety of heavy trucks and trailers ranging from OTR sleepers to Live Bottom Trailers, including troubleshooting and repair: electronic, fuel, ignition, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Our Diesel Mechanic will most often work independently but will occasionally be expected to work well in a team setting on major projects. Diesel Mechanics have the opportunity to learn while they work through our in-house technician paid training program.
In this Diesel Tech role you will:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues. Ability to test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer or shop provided diagnostic equipment.
Perform diagnostics on specific components and systems to determine proper operation.

Requirements:
1+ years of experience
State certification(s) preferred
Ability and knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differential projects
Strong communication skills - team oriented
Physical Requirements of a Diesel Tech:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspection
Must have enough vision to inspect repair work
Must be able to use/operate hand tools, power tools, and other heavy machinery
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
