Job Overview
Position Overview:
The Diagram Developer creates, develops, plans, formats and edits wiring schematics for multimedia or web-based publication. Will need to have knowledge of electrical circuits and know the basic functions of each device placed on the vehicle.
Responsibilities:
Researches and translates engineering logics to schematics that are easy to understand
Documents engineering processes and specifications
Recommends formatting responses to technical and customer requirements
This position will require cross-functional team collaboration between engineering, service engineering, training, and technical support groups
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
At least 2 years of technical writing/editing or circuit diagram development and/or technical illustration experience
OR
Master's degree
OR
At least 4 years of technical writing/editing or circuit diagram development and/or technical illustration experience
Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
Prior experience with electrical wiring/circuit diagrams
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Technical editing experience
Ability to effectively cope with change
Time management skills - can organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet specific deadlines
Ability to establish relationships and encourage cooperation between organizations
Ability to follow-up and drive for results/resolutions
Prior experience with Siemens or equivalent software
Prior experience with Engineering drawings, Engineering release processes, and Feature codes
Familiarity with International internal computer systems: Pharos, CDMS, CAD Search and TeamCenter
Work effectively in a team environment
Experience within the Automotive/Heavy Truck industry
