Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing commercial development projects from the owner's perspective. The role will entail creating, driving, and tracking the budget and schedule on a variety of development projects on the east coast.

Management of architects, engineers, and other consultants, including but not limited to:

  • Facilitate design development meetings
  • Review design documents for accuracy, coordination, cost drivers, and value engineering
  • Manage the entitlement and permitting process
  • Manage Development Budgets (hard and soft costs), compile draw package for lender

Management of General Contractors including but not limited to;

  • Scoping and leveling cost estimates/proposals
  • Compile and review contracts and exhibits
  • Facilitate weekly OAC Meetings
  • Review and negotiate change orders. Resolve field conflicts.
  • Review 'pencil' and final requisitions

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Requirements

7-10+ years of experience in development project management.

Motivated and proactive team player with an unyielding sense of urgency.

Experience in General Contracting as well as on the owner's side of construction.

Ability to travel.

Florida-based ideal; flex/remote negotiable.

An understanding of Development Proformas, LP/GP Term Sheets, and discounted cash flow analysis.

Very strong communication skills.
