Job Overview
American Bin and Conveyor is looking for a Structural Designer/Detailer for our Burlington, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. Structural Designer/ Detailers perform a variety of design activities including structural design, foundation design, conveyors, and other bulk handling equipment with structural type components referencing current methods of design and jurisdictional code requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform structural and foundation design and optimization per applicable industry codes and standards under supervision of Structural Engineering Providing design criteria and supporting calculations and documentation.
Aid and/or produce structural drawings showing member sizes, cross-sections, elevations, floor level, and connection in sufficient detail to allow construction.
Aid and/or produce foundation drawings showing reinforcing, cross-sections, embedment, and anchors in sufficient detail to allow construction.
Advise project management and sub-contractors onsite during
Coordinates with Engineering Project Management to deliver designs as related to project requirements and scope
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or structural design or related work experience.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, or Inventor.
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Able to articulate detailed and technical information to various audiences.
Good organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
Between 5-10 years of work experience is required.
