About being our Design Engineer

KPG Psomas seeks an entry to mid-level Civil Design Engineer with a focus on transportation related civil design including streets, roadways, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and bike facilities to join our team in our Wenatchee, Washington office. Additional experience/interest in stormwater and utility design is a plus. Our engineering group is currently involved in several municipal projects, and our ideal candidate will bring their experience along with a collaborative spirit to begin work on both current and upcoming projects. As an integrated design firm, KPG Psomas offers a unique opportunity for our engineers to work in partnership with other disciplines on a variety of endeavors.

Responsibility Highlights for our Design Engineer

• Design roadway, stormwater, and utility infrastructure
• Set-up and draft construction plans
• Lead portions of municipal design projects
• Assign tasks and review the work of CAD technicians and administrative staff.
• Perform quantity calculations and cost estimates
• Attend meetings with both clients and stakeholders
• Field visits during design process and project support during construction
• Construction support and field inspection duties

Minimum Qualifications to be our Design Engineer

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications for our Design Engineer

• EIT Certification a plus
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency
• Ability to handle multiple project commitments
• Strong report writing and communication skills
