A/E design firm with offices throughout in southeastern United States seeks a design engineer. Company has a strong track record of performance around the US in federal, local, commercial, higher education and K-12. They have a superb benefits package. Ideal candidate will have a widely varied experience in wide variety on engineering design tasks. Experience in Federal, State or Municipal projects is a major plus. Opportunity to lead, mentor and develop engineers and project staff members in various projects. Excellent pay and benefits package, strong corporate culture. Responsibilities:

• Managing a variety of projects, mentoring and developing junior staff, and assist in seeking out business opportunities
• Responsible for engineering design development and for preparation of engineering construction documents
• Preparation and checking of design drawings and/or specifications
• Help to build and maintain positive relationships with new and established clients
• Travel around US expected, less than 25% of time.

Experience/Qualifications:

• BS in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or Architecture, MS preferred
• PE Registration or Registered Architect or able to obtain in 6 months
• 4 or more years of federal engineering experience, design build experience preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit a plus / proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong experience in Federal, State or local design criteria and project
• Building envelop experience highly desired
