• This position is responsible for creating new product designs and improving existing product designs.
• Responsible for overseeing adherence to the design development process and the associated review, approval, and release of associated documentation including creation of design packages, design layouts and 3-D models, creation and review of engineering documentation, and consideration of efficiency in design development and processing of engineering design changes.
• Responsible for multiple facets of a project including developmental testing, System Integrity and Factory Acceptance (SIT/FAT) testing and working with support groups for creating running procedures.
• Responsible for the execution of and final review of compiled system/product design documentation per the relevant design criteria checklist, and approval of Design Verification Record (DVR) packages.
• Responsible for design calculations of all types of components, assemblies, and test fixtures using fundamentals of engineering, and demonstrates knowledge of industry code standards with respect to design verification and validation.
• Demonstrates thorough/significant understanding of at least key product line, and awareness/influence of other key product line interfaces and technology.
• Interfacing and supporting other departments such as manufacturing, supply chain, and aftermarket services.
• Routinely interacts and accountable for customers/suppliers/vendors and assists with development of technical specifications.
• Processing engineering design changes along with the review and approval of engineering drawings.
• Responsible for suggesting and implementing approved design changes arising from Field Problem Reports.
• Demonstrates the ability to lead regional Engineering Design Reviews and associated interdepartmental discussions regarding functionality, manufacturability, and operation.
• Responsible for disposition of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Engineering Design Waivers (EDWs)
• Ability to represent Engineering at Well Review meetings and verifying fit, interface, and function of relevant components within an associated system.
• Directs and mentors less experienced engineering personnel as directed.
• Attends and presents technical details at project meetings.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of industry standards in both regional and global settings, offshore operations, and recommended practices and their influence into product design.
  
  Working collaboratively as a member of the Engineering or Research and Development teams; actively participates in the design, development, and testing of new products and enhancements to existing products.
