Lycoming College seeks applications for a Day Custodian. Custodians perform routine and non-routine custodial maintenance as part of a team assigned to specific buildings or areas on campus. Responsibilities include the proper use of custodial materials, supplies and equipment to perform custodial and housekeeping services. Specific duties include dusting, polishing, floor cleaning, cleaning interior and exterior surfaces, trash and recyclable materials removal. Custodians may assist with set-up of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences and special events.

The day shift position is scheduled to work 5 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday. Excellent benefit package including health insurance, retirement plan, and after 90 days of employment tuition remission benefits for dependents, life and long-term disability insurance, paid holidays and paid time off. The pay rate for this position is now $12.25/hour.

One year of industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred. Must be energetic, a positive team player, and able to follow oral and written instructions. Physical requirements include the ability to frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push/pull, reach above and below shoulder height, climb ladders and stairs, routinely lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. unassisted, and move objects up to 50 lbs. with assistance as needed.
