This position is for a DevSecOps Engineer, at the Moorestown, NJ site. The successful candidate will perform, analysis and evaluation to design, implement, test and secure systems, networks, and architectures within cloud/container native environments. Responsibilities for this role include:
- Collaborating with engineering, ops, and other security teams on strategy for container and Kubernetes security
- Providing subject matter expertise to teams working on cloud and container security efforts
- Working with vendors, partners, and products to evaluate and implement security related tools
- Developing, demonstrating, and maintaining security tooling and processes to satisfy operational and audit needs within development, test, and production environments supporting critical Defense software
- Developing processes and technology to investigate and resolve security incidents within cloud native environments
- Building, expanding and maintaining stages within CI/CD pipelines focused on application security supporting the full SDLC
Basic Qualifications:
- Hands-on container security experience including with Docker and Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as a Service
(IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) experience
- Hands on experience handling security requirements within production grade CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrable knowledge of security and environment hardening for cloud native platforms
- Willingness and eagerness to continuously keep up with the latest tools and technologies in cloud security
- Ability to analyze security vulnerability reports and develop/implement a plan to mitigate critical vulnerabilities.
- Experience with developing automated capabilities for securing environments.
- STIG compliance and vulnerability management
- Some knowledge of DoD 8510.01 RMF IA Controls (IACs) and implementation.
- Security+ Certification
- Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This requires US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
- Strongly written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with container scanning using tools such as Anchore, Artifactory, Puppet, Trivy etc.
- Manual code analysis, static code analysis, and review of system requirements experience
- Previous experience handling Kubernetes cluster runtime monitoring using modern tools (Aqua Sec, Stackrox etc. or similar)
- Experience with DoD DevSecOps initiatives such as the Enterprise DevSecOps Reference design, PlatformOne
- Hands on experience with the Openshift container platform, Rancher, or similar platform
- Hands on experience with logging and SIEM solutions such as Splunk or ELK/EFK stack
- Certifications or other qualifications showing proficiency in cloud security (E.g : GIAC Cloud Security Automation/GCSA, ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional/CCSP or similar)
- Demonstrable knowledge with common DevOps automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform etc.
