Job Overview
CHC Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join our Connect team in our Pittsburgh (Robinson Township) office. The Connect team services children, youth and adults with a variety of complex medical conditions.

The Customer Service Specialist processes new and recurring orders for patients with ongoing supply needs- ensuring that all information necessary for billing is collected. They manage a patient caseload, utilizing reports to monitor reorder dates and ensure that patients receive their supplies as scheduled. They build rapport and establish good relationships with referral sources and patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives orders by phone or fax-obtaining all information necessary to process orders.
Enters customer demographics and order onto the computer system, acquiring all information necessary for billing.
Follows prescription/physician protocol when entering the order in the computer system
Contacts each customer to inform them of the order and procedure.
Outsources orders to alternative providers when CHC is unable to provide - following the established communication plan
Proactively works assigned Schedule Report for upcoming patient orders/shipments and updates the report as needed.
Verifies that the prescription and authorization are valid prior to releasing the order to be delivered. Takes the necessary steps to initiate the request for new prescription or authorization.
Communicates with the referral source or ordering physician regarding any patient/caregiver initiated new product requests or alterations to the existing order.
Maintains patient records to ensure that all pertinent information required for order processing is up to date and accurate.
Understands and Utilize Warehouse Selection Guide for orders. Communicates as needed with the Driver Team Leader to facilitate deliveries.
Notes all correspondence with the customer, doctor's office or physical therapist.
Prioritizes urgent or emergency orders.
Interacts with all team members to assist a patient regarding the status of their order.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of DME, experience in a health care environment
Excellent typing skills and computer literacy skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proven time management, organizational skills, multi-tasking, prioritization, and follow-up skills in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently, while being a productive member of the team
