Abbey Carpet Puyallup is a multi-generational family business with more than $4 million in annual sales. We seek a smart, thoughtful and successful team member to join our family business. We intend to fill the position of Abbey Carpet Customer Service Representitive who will provide exceptional customer service to clients visiting our showroom, as well as assist the sales and accounting staff with daily tasks.

Job Summary

This full-time, Customer Support role interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services. Each day you will be responsible for general day to day activities in design, ordering and tracking samples, and daily store operations. Excellent communication abilities and data entry skills are essential for candidates.

Our Customer Support person will be the first position that interacts with a customer. They will provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to direct concerns to appropriate individual. They are responsible for delivering a best in class, customer experience.

We provide on-the-job training to learn about the company's policies and procedures as well as product knowledge training on products and services. This combined with the CSR's ability to be positive, patient, and professional will support our mission and values as a company and as a team.

Daily Tasks

Greeting customers in-person, on the phone, system text or email
Maintain areas of showroom, to ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe
Providing introductory information to new customers
Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a client's or customer's questions
Performing research on products, educate and inform customers with design trends and assist with selection appointments
Managing sample check-out system, ordering, and tracking samples for sales team
Light Housekeeping: sanitize, re-stock supplies, assist with overall upkeep of showroom and warehouse
Informing customers about additional products or services (carpet cleaning, referral partners)
Printing invoices and collecting payments
Directing and Informing customers
Escalating queries and concerns to sales team and management as needed
Maintaining online accounts (Yelp, Abbey, Podium, Houzz)
Utilizing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to maintain customer data/records/price lists
Other duties assigned

Qualifications

At least 1 year of customer service in a retail setting
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Ability and desire to work as a team player- we are a family-owned business, and our employees enjoy working together and looking out for each other
Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English plus have adequate hearing and visual acuity
Keep up to date on the wide selection of products we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties
Must be able to effectively communicate on the telephone while entering data on computer
Willing to work 1-2 Saturdays per month
Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling of 50lbs (-)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
