Job Overview
The Rutland Herald is looking for a full-time customer service representative/office assistant to assist in answering phones at the front desk, greet and assist walk in traffic at the front counter, enter advertisements in our ad management system and process daily distribution paperwork.
This position is for Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch break. The job requires familiarity with the internet browsers and basic office software, and the ability to learn new tasks on the fly. It also requires a friendly demeanor on the phone and is a good job for someone who likes to learn and do a variety of tasks, sometimes all at once!
The job tasks will include:
Answer the general phone line, and field subscriber or customer questions, or forward callers to the appropriate department
Take subscriber payments, update accounts, comply with requests in the circulation management system, Accepting and scheduling print and digital advertisements in our advertising system
Working with other departments to facilitate projects, with the opportunity to make some extra income.
