Optum Finance is seeking full-time, customer focused individuals for our industry leading, award-winning Support Center, who have a passion for providing an outstanding service experience. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but could serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7am - 7pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 3701 W PLANO PKWY STE 200 Plano, TX 75075. Employees will be required to work some days onsite and some days from home

All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Take inbound calls and answer questions on product and service information
• Perform research functions including making outbound calls to validate provider contact information
• Identify and resolve customer issues
• Follow up on customer inquiries
• Research billing and payment issues
• Update database records as needed

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
• Prior health care experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Reside within commutable distance to Plano, TX
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
