As a Customer Service Representative you can expect that your main responsibilities to be:
Contact multi-unit accounts for orders via phone and email. Communicate promotional items, substitutions, out of stocks, etc.
Input orders directly into computer. Verify by reading back quantity and item description. Perform double checks on order accuracy via daily reports and the customer tracking app.
Determine justification of multi-unit account requests for credit. Input credit request immediately for resolution by their next delivery.
Research shipping, invoicing, credit and/or service problems. Resolve and communicate with customer as necessary. Any exceptions should be referred to the Customer Service Manager and Sales.
Understand the complete credit process and ensure reps and customers adhere to VE credit memo policy.
Utilize suggestive and reminder selling techniques.
Develop and maintain product knowledge.
Communicate effectively with customers, sales representatives and internal departments.
Participate in special events as required.
Fill in for the receptionist as needed.
Support department and company team concepts. Assist other department team members as needed.
Work weekends and holidays as necessary and required.
Other duties as assigned.
The qualified candidate will have:
The ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, able to learn and use various forms of technology and software.
Good problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
A minimum of two years of previous customer service experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to lift products weighing 25-50lbs.
Ability to work Sunday through Thursday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Starting pay range: $16 to $17 per hour.
