GENERAL SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer Experience (CX) Specialist is responsible for supporting concessions related customer experience initiatives at IND. This role will focus on improving the airport experience at key points throughout the passenger journey and at other interfacing points throughout the airport. Additional responsibilities include the creation, development, and implementation of customer service driven initiatives within the Concessions Department and will also foster cross-departmental partnerships to promote these initiatives. Participates in planning and hospitality of special events and conferences taking place in the community. Manages and oversees customer service and concessions related projects delegated by the Concessions Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides customer service to the traveling public and concessionaire business partners
Manages and oversees the ACES Program and other awards recognition programs for the Concessions Program
Works with new vendor requests and determines viability of concept in alignment with customer service initiatives
Creates, implements, and fosters a real-time customer feedback program to enhance customer experience
Markets and advertises merchandising product lines that are available at the airport via social media platforms
Manages the INDOrderNow (Grab) program to enhance the customer interaction with concessions
Supports initiatives to promote and support workforce development for concessionaire business partners
Assists in administrative and operational tasks as delegated by the Concessions Operations Manager
Oversees the monthly concessions circular that updates key stakeholders on concessions activity and progress
Works with concessionaire partners on program optics - merchandising, appearance, housekeeping
Creates marketing and signage assets to increase communication to the public of daily operational items at Concession locations
Administers the communication of concessionaire initiatives with internal and external partners
Airport liaison for concessionaires corporate marketing and customer feedback departments
Leads monthly concessionaire meetings and represents concessions team as needed at community outreach engagements
Creates dashboards, charts, and assesses demographics related to the concessions program
Responsible for the creation of presentations for key department processes and topics as delegated by the Concessions Operations Manager
Manages aspects of the Concessions Refresh Program as delegated by Concessions Operations Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Retail or Hospitality Management
Minimum five to seven (5-7) years Customer Service experience.
One to Three (1-3) years of Food & Beverage or Retail Management experience preferred
One to Three (1-3) years Project Management, Operations and/or Communication experience preferred
Intermediate Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Webpage Development)
Effectively communicate and comprehend English, both orally and in writing. The ability to speak and comprehend Spanish is preferred.
Ability to listen, communicate, exercise good judgment, make informed strategic decisions and carry out assigned tasks.
Ability to perform all the essential functions of the job outlined above without causing a direct threat to the safety of oneself or others.

Work environment: The work environment is balanced at 50% office needs and 50% field needs in multiple work locations (concourse, parking garage, outside). The incumbent in this position is expected to work independently and as part of the team.
