Job Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Responsible for providing outstanding full service to all customers internally and externally over the phone.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Manage scheduling, cancelling and rescheduling of appointments for patients
Answer telephones in a pleasant and helpful manner
Take prescription refill requests
Acquire and document all patient demographic information accurately
Follow protocol for complete patient registration process including verification of insurance coverage
Apply billing and collecting practices including securing payment plans
Review and disseminate incoming documents
Initiate and complete patient portal registration
Provide assistance to fellow team members
Compliant with HIPAA, NCPA's Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Some college preferred

2. Must be computer literate.

3. Excellent customer service skills

EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with medical terminology

At least one year of experience working in a call center preferred

Knowledge of computer systems and applications including electronic medical records

SKILLS :

Operate a variety of office equipment and computer programs

Answer the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner

Speak clearly and concisely

Read, understand and follow oral, and written instruction

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians

Job Type: Full-time
