Overview:

Our client, a US Fortune 500 company and a provider of managed Health care, Pharmacy benefits & specialty areas for managed care organizations / employers / government agencies, seeks an accomplished Customer Care Associate.

_ Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship _

Location: San Diego, CA 92108 (100% Remote acceptable for California residents)

Duration: 6 months contract w/ possibility of extension or conversion to FTE role

Notes :

Standard Hours: 8:00am or 8:30am PT start shift.

Firm Target Start Date: Monday (11/21).

Important Remote / Work-From-Home related:

o Equipment will be provided.

o Candidate MUST have high-speed wired internet connection. Wi-Fi / Wireless connections not allowed as a violation of policy and can lead to breach of Private Health Information (PHI).

o Candidate MUST have a reliable home-office environment.

o Candidate MUST be on camera during training / work hours, especially during attendance call.

o Candidate MUST follow business casual dress code during working hours.

Description :

The team supports Members and Providers in the managed health arena who call in requesting benefit information, authorizations, etc.

This position is part of an operations team that strives to provide first call resolution to a specified set of customers.

This position primarily answers incoming calls for new and existing authorizations.

Responsibilities include documenting in the appropriate systems and ensuring high quality and accurate information is provided to callers.

This role is expected to meet or exceed operations production and quality measures.

High volume call center. Responsive for meeting call metrics.

Approx. 80-100 calls per day - will take calls from members, doctor offices and imaging providers.

Be present daily and taking calls. Being a part of the team.

Being able to be on a fast-paced team with a high volume of calls.

Qualifications :

HS Diploma or GED.

1 - 2 years of Customer Service experience.

Basic Computer skills.

Typing: 45WPM minimum.

Call and Crisis center experience (High Call Volume).

Customer service experience.

Microsoft office proficient.

Communication and verbal skills.

Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate orally in the English language is required.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory) :

Pharmacy Technician experience.

Behavior health experience.

Insurance or Claims processing.

Quick learner. Dependability.

Reliable internet connection - (No WI-FI) ethernet connection, at least 150MBPS (uninterrupted).

Must have secluded quiet workspace.
