Position Summary: This position is responsible for addressing the needs and growing Elmet's share of existing and new sales accounts as assigned. These duties primarily involve managing all aspects of customer order generation and order fulfillment, including the management of customer inquiries and concerns related to order delivery and quality. In addition, this position is responsible for preparing cost estimates for various Elmet products by analyzing required labor, material, and overhead to be applied. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare customer requests for quotation. Set pricing in collaboration with cost estimators and sales management. Determine lead times in partnership with operations team. Maintain CRM (Customer Relationship Management) ERP module. Follow-up on quotations with Sales Management and Field Sales Managers. Address customer requests for information, including order status, quality concerns, and technical inquiries. Develop customer-based strategies to help secure new business or maintain existing business and present to/discuss with Sales Management and at times, the Elmet Management Team. Contribute to maintaining Elmet's website, to include developing and posting new content. Process orders received through Elmet's e-commerce program. Support the development of trade show and collateral marketing material as needed. Analyze product production flow and calculate the required elements of cost (labor, material, OH, outside services) to be applied to develop product costs. Participate in conversations with customers and field sales to thoroughly understand customer requirements for requested quotations. Work with Purchasing to obtain updated quotations for third party services and materials. Collaborate with Engineering and Production to validate cost estimates for both new items and for confirming original estimates for repeat orders. Maintain costs in Elmet's ERP system by entering new part numbers and associated bills of material and routings. Job Qualifications: 4 Year technical degree or equivalent (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, science, math etc.) 5-7 Years' experience Must be able to read technical drawings Cost Estimating and Manufacturing experience required Must have mid-level math skills including basic Algebra Comfort with Spreadsheets and intermediate Excel Familiarity with ERP systems required Excellent communication skills - must interact with internal and external customers Ability to create and deliver presentations to groups including those at higher levels Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for a half hour and walk up to a quarter of a mile. Able to see and hear. Vision correctable to 20/40 or better. Routinely communicates face-to-face, via telephone and by computer. Must have finger dexterity to handle paperwork, computers and phones.
