Job Overview

We have an opening for a Corporate Scheduler to work in the Houston, TX area.

Our Client is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States. In addition, the Company has a long history of performing significant international projects. The Company employs experienced civil, ocean and mechanical engineering staff in its estimating, production and project management functions. In its over 130-year history, the Company has never failed to complete a marine project. Our Client owns and operates the largest and most diverse fleet in the U.S. dredging industry, comprised of over 200 specialized vessels.





RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support Project Management teams, Operations, Engineering, Estimating and Plant and Maintenance departments in project scheduling, detailed resource and cost loading, and equipment utilization plans for projects.

- Track and support all planning and scheduling activities of projects as a Team resource utilizing strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Monitor contractor progress schedules and identify any variances to associated cost and time. Will report to VP of Site Engineering.



QUALIFICATIONS:

- College level degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Construction Engineering or other related Engineering field.

- Proficient in Primavera 6 and Microsoft Project or tools to plan, organize, review and develop complex Engineering, Procurement, Shipyard Maintenance and Construction (EPC) schedules.

- Proficient in CPM scheduling, resource loading and leveling.

- Proficient with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office Suite software.

- Good time management and organizational skills

- Effective communication, planning, and mentoring skills.

- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

- Ability to travel to location site twice a month during workweek.
