Currently, we are experiencing tremendous growth in our Maintenance and Engineering department. Therefore, we are in search of an Electrical Engineer with Control System experience to join us immediately! Our ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE), experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, CAD skills, experience with electrical codes as well as NFPA70E codes, along with knowledge of plant power distribution. This position is responsible for assisting Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot machine control issues. Also, this position will be responsible for managing machine upgrades. We are looking to start off the new year with this position filled!

Job Description

Is the first working level of the engineering series. Incumbents perform routine engineering project tasks independently and receive closer supervision when assisting in more complex engineering project tasks. This role has no direct reports.

Role Emphasis

Controls

• Creates, and plans programming, configuration, integration, networking and communication services using equipment and software from a variety of HMI, SCADA, and PLC manufacturers, as well as various communication protocols.
• Performs testing and validation of machine instrumentation with the controls package.
• Fosters integration and development of team IT resources related to engineering functions such as PLC/machine control, HMI function and edge device use.
• Creates and reviews technologies to be used for future applications and extensions of current architecture.

Electrical

• Creates, and plans designs for electrical machine systems.
• Performs testing and validation of electrical machine designs and systems.
• Performs engineering calculations to support design and electrical engineering work
• Creates and reviews technical drawings, plans, and specifications utilizing computer software

Mechanical

• Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
• Assists with testing and validation mechanical machine designs and systems.
• Assist with engineering calculations to support mechanical engineering work.
• Reviews technical plans, drawings and specifications for mechanical engineering work.

What We Want From You

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Electrical, Mechanical, CS&E, Controls/Automation Engineering or related technical field
• 0 - 3 years of experience
• Coop or Internship Preferred
• 30% travel requirement to the facilities you're working on projects for
