Job Details
We are looking for a highly motivated engineer with experience in Rockwell PLC programming, maintenance and troubleshooting. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, programming, testing, and implementation of computer control systems used for production automation and industrial equipment design. Additionally, you will ensure that there is a strategic method to improving productivity and enhancing the best practices of our company.
This position is located at our Pleasant Plain, OH manufacturing facility. Local applicants are preferred for this position; no relocation reimbursement will be provided for applicants outside of the Greater Cincinnati area.
Your Responsibilities
Increasing production efficiency by evaluating performance and proposing/implementing improvements
Designs, develops, and supervises all electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment
Provide technical assistance and project management to the Director in support of continuous improvement initiatives
Support and assist the mechanical maintenance staff in assuring that all the mechanical and electrical systems in the facility are properly maintained and operating
Develop programs and projects to increase overall safety, quality, service level, efficiency, waste reduction and spending within department
Assist the maintenance technicians in diagnosing machine malfunctions and determining the root causes
Assist the Director in the preparation, execution and management of capital projects
Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software
Maintain safety and quality standards
You Will Need to Have
Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
PLC programming and AutoCAD Electric skills
Prior experience using 2D CAD software
Prior working experience with or integrating Fanuc robotics
3+ years PLC and HMI programming experience is required
Experience working in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), Pharmaceutical, or a high-speed production environment is preferred
