Job Overview
Seeking a Construction Safety Specialist for a specialty civil construction company located in Southeastern Wisconsin.
- Conduct safety incident investigations and complete associated reports
- Conduct safety plans for various activities including critical crane lifts, demolition, and fall protection
- Inspect jobsite to ensure compliance and promote hazard identification
- Conduct task specific safety training as needed
- Lead a weekly toolbox safety talk
- Evaluate daily job hazard analysis performed onsite and communicate trends to the workforce.
- Evaluate operational practices/equipment for safety compliance
- Perform all duties in accordance with Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines
- Coordinate with customers & GC to ensure all safety requirements are adhered to onsite
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Occupational Safety and Health preferred
- Prior internship or work experience involving safety preferred
- Advanced knowledge and ability to research and facilitate the enforcement all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations required.
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and collaboratively implement essential measures
- Proficient interpersonal, communication, computer, and organizational skills are necessary.
