Description:

Actalent's client is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager to support building renovations Ft Belvoir in Norther Virginia. The project includes repair of two existing UEPH buildings, Buildings 2104 and 2111. There have been no major repair of building components or systems in the last 30+ years and the buildings have severely deteriorated.

Project Details:

Work entails demolition of mechanical, electrical and plumbing fixtures, interior partitions, covered entries, and interior and exterior finishes; and abatement of asbestos containing materials (ACM) and other identified HAZMAT materials. Failing systems and components will be repaired, to include roofing, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical distribution, sanitary, fire alarm and suppression, building information systems, lighting and plumbing fixtures, exterior doors, windows, ceilings, flooring and floor coverings, kitchenettes, interior partitions and interior and exterior finishes. The living and communal areas will be repaired and modernized.

Responsibilities:

• Use of Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Resident Management System (RMS) & Quality Control System (RMS/QCS) to document all submittals, RFIs and other construction documentation as required.
• Evaluating construction schedules
• Performance quality oversight
• Handling of documentation reviews for all construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years in construction in Construction Quality Control Management. Managing projects in relevant size ($10M+)
• Candidates should have USACE or NAVFAC Quality Control Construction Management certification.
• Demonstrated experience using Use of US Army Corps of Engineers Resident Management System (RMS)
• Quality Control System (QCS) (RMS/QCS) to document all submittals,
• RFIs and other construction documentation is required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand Construction and Engineering plans, specifications, and other documentation.
