Job Overview
We are looking for a Purchasing Associate to support the operations team. You will be an intricate part to the construction management department and have the opportunity and responsibility to grow out the logistics and procurement division.
This will be very fast moving and require you to immediately take ownership of procurement, which will require you to proactively work cross functionally with multiple departments such as construction management, design, architecture, and web development - so strong organization and communication is extremely vital to the success of this role.
We need you to source all the products the design team selects and find multiple vendors that offer the products with the associated price and delivery timelines. To excel in this role you'll need to have strong vendor relationships and be incredibly organized to manage purchasing.
Job Description:
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing
Work with current subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers to reduce build costs.
Manage overage or shortages of materials for each project to home in on exact quantity for all building materials.
Collaborate with the Architectural Team to establish takeoffs and quantities for each model.
Ongoing communication with the Design Team to understand the products you will be ordering and to way in on availability and pricing.
Value engineer products to not compromise Design Team's aesthetic and make recommendations to the Design Team for cost efficient alternatives.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year

8 hour shift
