Description:

A Project Coordinator has an analytical mind and great organization skills. By joining KO Construction you'll support relationships with key stakeholders and draft benchmarks for successful deliverables. You'll draft work assignments that meet deadline requirements within the forecasted budget. You'll think ahead - troubleshooting issues before and as they arise throughout the construction and development process. You will be working through organizational processes relating to document management, coordinating interdepartmental communications, and will act as a liaison to drive projects through to completion. Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Compensation: $50k+ depending on experience

A Day in the Life

  • Provide project coordination for new construction projects and facility expansion activities
  • With supervision of project manager, you will source, manage, and provide quality control of subcontractors for all work pertinent to construction projects including, but not limited to:
  • Preliminary planning and budgeting
  • Civil / Site Design
  • Survey work
  • Site prep, earthwork, and excavation
  • Concrete, electrical and fencing
  • Pre-engineered building deliveries and Field Crew
  • Permitting, zoning, land disturbance and variances
  • Provide document management services and creation of files for internal communication, permits issued and standard operating procedures
  • Review civil, structural, and stormwater management plans with project manager
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Coordinate on-site activity: materials staging, site management and access
  • Work closely with jobsite personnel to ensure project milestones and other requirements are clear and documented
  • Support the invoicing of assigned projects and construction draws as necessary
  • Provide transparent and proactive communication through all stages of the project to all involved partie
Requirements:


Who You are

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • An Associates or Bachelor's degree (preferred) in one of the following or related areas: Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, and Urban Planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Construction Management interest
  • Project Management background
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
