Job Description Overview:
The Project Controller will work with the project management and accounting team on projects. This position will assist in setting up and monitoring budgets and other project control tracking mechanisms. The individual will need to be able to identify potential problems within the financial aspects of the project. The position is expected to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Support most aspects of accounting management
Will work primarily with Microsoft Excel
Will work in Corporate Systems
Will work in Foundation Software
Will prepare financial reports associated with project controls
Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
Assist in data entry
Participate in preparation for audits
Assist in the preparation of project budgets
Assist in the preparation of project forecasts
Review financial data
Help in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
Prepare, examine, and/or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports.
Create Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Construction, Business or related field preferred
Experience working in an environment that involves multiple projects
Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
Working Conditions:
This job operates in both office and field environments with occasional exposure to noise and other hazards. This job routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasionally spend time outside the office when meeting clients or need to check on vehicles.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
