Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for delivering new hi-tech laboratory facility construction project(s) using multiple project delivery and execution strategies at a competitive advantage. Manage project scope, schedule, and budget through all phases of design, contracting, and construction. Knowledgeable of construction processes, startup, testing, commissioning and acceptance of systems and buildings. Ensure projects are completed according to project plans. Candidate has a proven track record in managing a safety culture with leading indicators and methods that promote a safe working environment including incident investigation and corrective actions. Primary

Participate in the planning of facilities and changes for laboratories and equipment layouts
Monitor build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
Make strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions
Meet with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
Liaise with clients and build strong working relationships
Devise cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
Manage risks and identifying mitigation/enhancement plans to avoid delays or reputational damage

Additional Responsibilities

Lead the development and re-institution of a Program Management Center of Excellence (COE)
Assesses existing standards and processes, perform gap analysis, evaluate best practices (including tools) and develop roadmap and lead implementation
Lead Program management council with objectives of providing timely visibility and status across key construction projects
Lead and/or oversee additional critical design/ construction projects as required

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 7 - 10 Years of Experience

Additional qualifications include

Working experience as a project manager or facilities operations in semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) facilities a strong plus
Knowledge of semiconductor facilities systems including but not limited to acid waste and exhaust, solvent waste and exhaust, chilled/condenser water, hot water, process chilled water & DI water, process gases, controls, and monitoring systems
Knowledge of Fire Life Safety and Gas Life Safety Systems and requirements
Knowledge of Permitting requirements, National Electrical Code, Uniform Building Code, and Fire Codes
Knowledge of Environmental & Safety regulations and requirements.
Knowledge of building control systems and remote energy management systems
Strong analytical skills and knowledge / demonstrated use of Project Management tools
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger multi-functional team
Good team player in any environment; extensive experience using these skills to resolve differences amongst peers and stakeholders
Highly proficient in Windows based software including Excel, Word, Project, Visio & PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
