Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Construction Inspector to join our staff in Miami, FL.

The Construction Inspector works for the CM to oversee multiple contractors involved in the new build and rehabilitation of WWTP's (Wastewater Treatment Plants), Pumping Stations and Force Mains within Miami-Dade, Florida. The Construction Inspector will maintain the high safety standards set by MDWASD. The Construction Inspector reviews and understand requirements of contract documents, specifications, and drawings as well as compliance with building and regulatory agency requirements. The inspector will be responsible for supervising the construction of water and

Essential Functions of the Job:

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Works for the CM to oversee multiple contractors involved in the new build and rehabilitation of WWTP's (Wastewater Treatment Plants), Pumping Stations and Force Mains within Miami Dade, FL
  • Prepares Daily Reports
  • Maintains the high safety standards set by the MDWASD
  • Reviews and understands requirements of contract documents, specifications and drawings as well as compliance with building and regulatory agency requirements
  • Processes, logs, and tracks Submittals, RFIs, DN's, NCR's and CARs
  • Maintains accurate record-keeping related to progress meetings, schedule reviews, document review
  • Manages project level PCOs, interface with Change Order Management team, estimators, and assist CM CO Negotiations
  • Attends and record monthly/weekly/daily contractor and client meetings.
  • Reports progress and risk issues to Construction Manager and Program Construction Manager

Minimum Requirements:

The Ideal Candidate shall possess the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in wastewater and wastewater collection and transmission infrastructure, gravity sewer systems, force mains up to 54" diameter, submersible pumping and dry well/wet well pumping stations up to 500 HP motors
  • Experience with current and emerging wastewater treatment plant installations including, but not limited to, chemical (liquid and gaseous) storage tanks, pumps and dosing systems, monitoring and sampling systems. Sludge dewatering and thickening systems, pumping systems. Digester tanks, pump systems, heat exchangers and heat transfer boilers
  • Experience of start-up and commissioning of treatment and pumping systems
  • Experience of shutdown protocols, interfaces with existing facilities with minimum disruption to operations
  • Experience with working with civil and building inspectors and electrical and control engineers/inspectors
  • Direct experience working with contractors in the field
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good communication skills with both contractor and the client
  • OSHA training 30 hour

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Proliance Construction (PCTS) and eBuilder

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of relevant industry experience and construction experience
