Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Construction Inspector with civil/construction experience. This is a contract opportunity with a regional public transportation located in Philadelphia PA.

Hourly rate $28.58

The Construction Inspector shall perform quality assurance inspections and project monitoring for a project in Langhorne, PA and other 3rd Party Reimbursable projects as determined by the Project Manager. The Construction Inspector shall also review project scope of work, plans, and specifications. The assignment for the Construction Inspector may require minimal site investigation.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Monitor construction activities for conformance to project plans, site-specific work plan.

Coordinate scheduled outages with operations and provide protection personnel to 3rd party contractor on the project.

Monitor the construction activities for conformance to railroad or transit worker safety regulations.

Maintain and submit daily inspection reports which shall include sufficient accuracy, detail, photographs, and time references for the basis of claims avoidance or defense.

Provide weekly summary reports, which shall include a summary of work completed in previous week, outstanding or open issues, and anticipated project progress for week ahead.

Assist in the clarification and/or interpretation of approved documents and keep Client informed of resolutions.

Perform tasks as deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
