RK Centers is seeking a Construction/Development professional to be based in its office in Needham, MA, for its New England shopping center portfolio and to report to the Vice President of Construction Management. The candidate's tasks will include the following:

• Coordinate, implement and manage development projects, budgets, estimating, qualify and select architects, engineers, and contractors; manage bid processes and overall construction project management.
• Review, approve, and oversee Owner and Tenant construction projects
• Manage the entitlement/permitting process of certain Owner projects.
• Develop qualitative and pro forma analysis, financial sensitivity analysis, and budgets for redevelopment and development projects.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop relationships with local building officials and government officials
• Represent the company at local permit hearings and other meetings as required.
• Provide support for real estate and special projects as assigned by management.
• Assist in due diligence (architectural, engineering, environmental) of acquisitions.
• Assisting the property management team
• Ability to attend occasional meetings with local jurisdictions that will be in the evening hours to advance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering preferred or alternate relevant job experience.
• 5 years experience in project management, construction oversight, or civil engineering.
• Leadership and management abilities are commensurate with the position.
• Emphasis on teamwork and ability to work effectively within a small group of people.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with suburban commercial retail real estate.
• Track record of projects within the relevant space.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Self-motivated problem-solver, ability to build strong business relationships.
