Job Overview

The Manager of Construction and Demolition will be responsible for leading the material recovery facility and landfilling activities, overseeing the recovered material outbound sales process, and managing the hauling of all outbound materials. This individual will be responsible for creating an efficient and safe environment throughout all C&D operations and activities while focusing on innovation and improvement of the current process to improve the recovery of materials. This individual will create revenue and cost budgets and be accountable to the P&L performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead, direct and oversee the safe and effective daily operations of all aspects of a materials recovery facility and landfill. Collaborate with all operations personnel and be accountable for meeting all applicable Luck Stone operating standards including safety, team culture, efficiency metrics, and aesthetics.
Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships and contracts for the outbound recovered materials market. Document customer interactions and market insights into the CRM system. Work with Engineering and Operational Support, local operations teams, and vendors to innovate the current process for higher recovery of materials and recovery of new materials.
Partner with sales team to maintain the inbound C&D market, adjust tipping fees to influence optimal volume, rate and mix of C&D material, and document customer interactions into the CRM system.
Develop, monitor, and update all aspects of the annual business plan, including capital budgeting, direct operating costs, analyzing P&L statements, site projects, and assisting in the development of business strategy.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

College degree required
3+ years' experience as an aggregates production supervisor/foreman; 5 years management experience
DMME Blasters Certification; DMME Foreman Certification, DMME Aggregate Technician Certification
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Must possess a desire for continuous improvement.
Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
