Job Overview
McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Cement Finishers for an exciting project in Sioux Falls, SD . In this role, you will pour, smooth, and level concrete using various finishing hand/power tools (float, trowels, concrete vibrators, etc.). The ideal applicant has 4+ years of proven experience as a concrete finisher in large commercial construction projects and possess excellent finishing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
Work with concrete crew on/around concrete forms, assisting with concrete pour and placements (floors, walls, slabs, elevated slabs, and other misc. sitework)
Work with buckets and pump truck to place concrete.
Finish concrete to meet horizontal tolerances and finish specs from hard trowel to heavy broom.
Proficient in using straight edge, float, bump cutter, and/or power screed, and other tools as necessary.
Ability to run a vibrator and/or work concrete pump hose.
Patch horizontal and vertical concrete (class C to class A finish per ACI standards)
Wear respirator for grinding and other required operations (Silica Competent Person Training will be provided by McCarthy)
Operate walking trowel and understand safety and maintenance procedures.
Operate double riding trowel and understand safety and maintenance procedures.
Safely coordinate work among other trades.
Saw cut concrete joints.
Skills & Qualifications
4+ years experience preferred in large concrete pours on commercial projects
Flexible schedule for work hours to accommodate pours that start at midnight around Greater Phoenix area
Ability to use ladders/stairs and tie-off to forms and lifts to work at elevated heights.
Experience with patching that meets ACI standards for horizontal and vertical applications.
Able to lift up to 50lbs, including being able to bend, twist, and climb.
Experience checking grades/elevations prior to and during pour to ensure FF&L tolerances are met.
