Job Description: Commissioning Engineer Huntsman's Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a new Commissioning Engineer for our site located in Akron, Ohio. As the Commissioning Engineer, you will: Learn the existing ADVA process at the Avon Lake, OH customer site. Requires full time positioning at Avon Lake for a 6-9-month period to become very familiar with the process. Work alongside the client site team (operators, mechanics, engineers, lab technicians, etc.) to learn the existing process. This position will become the Akron resident expert on ADVA production. Taper from on-site at Avon Lake to being actively involved in all aspects of the ADVA plant at Akron. This will include (but not limited to): providing guidance on construction, equipment verification, commissioning, training, procedure development, integration into the RLP operation, etc. Provide engineering support to overcome ADVA plant obstacles, resolve issues, troubleshoot to enable the ADVA plant to be successful upon start up. Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. Participate in EHS initiatives as set forth by the company. Skills and experiences required: BS degree in Engineering; Chemical and/or mechanical preferred. Five years minimum chemical plant experience. Hands on Process Engineering in a plant environment. Ability to interpretate, organize, coordinate, and execute assignments in a timely manner. Ability to recognize, define, and solve problems of a highly technical complexity, having significant impact on major projects, process safety and/or technical activities. Effective communicator of complex technical info. Act as an adviser providing effective and efficient solutions for plant optimization and/or product development opportunities.
