We have a great opportunity for you to join AEI in a Commissioning Engineer I role in our Hunt Valley, MD office. Here is what we have in store for you: In this role, you will carry out activities related to project construction and contract administration including developing and coordinating system test procedures, organizing user training sessions, administering functional performance tests, conducting field observations, attending progress meetings, and assisting in document control. What you will need to Succeed: + Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (or another engineering discipline) from an accredited program. + General understanding of building systems across disciplines and fundamental knowledge in at least one discipline such as HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, lighting, instrumentation and controls, or building envelope systems. + Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction. + Experience in computer operation for engineering calculation programs and ability to learn computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements. + Valid driver's license and state required vehicle insurance. What sets you apart: + Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE). + Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body. + Ability to combine personal judgment with a wide variety of data and information to implement commissioning criteria. + Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate follow-through with others, giving and receiving constructive feedback. Communicates well with clients, project partners and with individuals at all levels in the organization. + Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments + Ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools. + Strong spoken and written communications skills. + Excellent organization and time management skills. + Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes. + Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. + Effective working individually and within team environments.
