Job Summary: The Commissioning Engineer acts as team lead for substation physical and protection & control (P&C) projects while in the field; while not in the field, you'll work with design teams on substation projects. Additionally, you'll prepare detailed commissioning plans and relay settings files while in the office in prep for the field work. This position requires an understanding of substation physical design and P&C. One must also understand protection concepts around bus, transformer, transmission line, and distribution line protection. Develop relay settings files for SEL, Basler, Siemens, and ABB relays from protection summary sheets and AC/DC schematics. Responsible for testing of current transformers, protective relays. Responsible for SCADA testing. Adjust group operated switches. Fully function test relay panels. Collaborate with design teams.
