JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operations of the physical property including mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, structures (interior and exterior), utilities, grounds, and housekeeping.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Monthly preventative maintenance
Tenant service orders
HVAC automation adjustments
Complete work requests within 24 hours of receipt
Maintain grounds care and housekeeping as needed
Prepare vacant commercial suites for new tenant
Daily building inspections
Report accidents, emergency, or safety concerns to supervisor immediately
Participate in on-call rotation schedule (approximately one week every 9 weeks)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

High school diploma or GED
Experience in property maintenance or related
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, construction, carpentry, painting, vendors, parts, lighting control systems, building automation controls, and services
Interpersonal skills to interact with tenants and others as needed
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
Physically able to bend, stoop, climb, lift, and reach
Ability to work outside year round
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by Oakbrook's provider
